Knowlet: Journal of Knowledge Management and Library Innovation
The Knowlet relies on the expertise of its reviewers to maintain high standards of scholarship. Reviewers play a vital role in ensuring the quality, originality, and relevance of the published content.
1. General Principles
- Reviews must be objective, constructive, and respectful.
- Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript and review process.
- Declare any conflict of interest (personal, financial, or professional) that may bias your evaluation.
- Complete reviews within the stipulated timeline (usually 2–3 weeks).
2. Key Evaluation Criteria
When reviewing a manuscript, kindly consider the following:
A. Relevance and Contribution
- Does the manuscript align with the scope of the journal (knowledge management, library innovation, information science, digital practices)?
- Does it make a meaningful contribution to theory, practice, or policy?
B. Originality and Novelty
- Is the work original, unpublished, and free from plagiarism?
- Does it provide new insights, models, frameworks, or innovative practices?
C. Structure and Clarity
- Is the paper well-structured (abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion)?
- Are the arguments logical, coherent, and easy to follow?
- Are tables, figures, and references clear and accurate?
D. Methodological Rigor
- Is the research design appropriate and clearly explained?
- Are the methods valid, reliable, and ethical?
- Are data and analysis presented adequately?
E. Literature and Referencing
- Is the literature review comprehensive and current?
- Are sources cited appropriately (APA 7th edition)?
F. Implications and Usefulness
- Does the paper highlight implications for researchers, practitioners, librarians, or policy-makers?
- Does it offer practical or innovative insights?
3. Review Report Format
Please provide feedback in the following format:
- Overall Recommendation
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
- Comments for Authors
- Specific, constructive feedback to improve the manuscript.
- Avoid personal remarks; focus on content and structure.
- Highlight strengths as well as weaknesses.
- Confidential Comments to Editors (if any)
- Concerns regarding ethics, plagiarism, or suitability for the journal.
4. Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Do not use any information from the manuscript for personal advantage.
- Report suspected plagiarism, duplicate submission, or ethical misconduct to the editor.
- Review only papers within your area of expertise.
5. Timelines
- Standard review period: 3–4 weeks from the date of invitation.
- If unable to complete on time, inform the editorial office promptly.
6. Recognition of Reviewers
- Reviewers’ contributions will be acknowledged annually on the journal’s website.
- Certificates of reviewing may be provided upon request.
